Book Two
Wifedom by Anna Funder
The second book in the Winter box reveals the invisible, in this case George Orwell's long-suffering wife, Eileen. A genre-bending masterpiece that mixes fact and fiction.
Reading Notes
Both books came with fold out reading notes offering background about the authors, where to find them online and ideas to think about as you read. We always include a lined page on the reverse in case you want to make your own notes.
Magazine
Our 32-page subscriber magazine was packed with ideas about family to get you thinking and exclusive interviews with both authors.
The Extras
Our Winter box recipients enjoyed three special gifts chosen to be enjoyed with family.
The first was a full-size game to play with friends and family from sustainable small games company Gamely, who make brilliantly inventive, pocket-sized games for all ages.
Next was a fun and festive craft from the Printed Peanut which included full instructions, links to a how-to video and Pinterest inspiration, a template, a sheet of metal and a length of recycled fabric to hang the final result.
And finally, a delightful Christmas card also by the Printed Peanut depicting a "perfect" family home at Christmas.
Digital Library
Each box was packed by hand and topped with a personalised welcome note with a QR code giving access to the Digital Library which this quarter contained a festive divas playlist from DJ FunkyBitch and an exclusive Christmas party mix.
